Our campus used to rely on five or more different systems for managing websites and publishing news. This created confusion and delays — colleges would often email us their stories and images so we could post them manually in the university newsroom. We even had a “Submit Your Story” form, but it couldn’t accept images or handle formatting well. That’s why we built AUWire — a centralized content-sharing tool created right inside Cascade CMS. With AUWire: Users can submit full stories or simply link to existing URLs. There’s even an external form that lets users post directly to the CMS without logging in, making it faster and easier to share news. A visual dashboard displays all available content, which can be filtered by category or unit. From there, users can edit stories, assign them to their college or department, and publish them with just a few clicks. We also added RSS feed support, so stories can automatically populate other websites, email newsletters and future content delivery platforms — all from one central place. AUWire helps eliminate inbox overload and ensures stories reach the right audiences quickly and consistently. It’s not just a tool — it’s a smarter way to share what’s happening across Auburn.
