Slide into accessibility: Creating inclusive presentations

Slide into accessibility: Creating inclusive presentations  at 2024 Annual Conference

Despite the progress we’ve made in making websites more accessible, there remains a major gap that often gets overlooked — the documents we publish on those websites. In this session, we’ll home in on one of the most widely used formats: PowerPoint presentations.

Learn how to use built-in accessibility features, choose inclusive design elements, and structure content effectively to support screen readers and visual clarity. In doing so, we’ll cover best practices for color contrast, font usage, alt text, slide reading order, and more.

By the end of our discussion, you’ll be empowered to create presentations that are not only visually compelling, but also engaging for a wider audience. Join us in making digital communications more inclusive, one slide at a time!
