Accessibility that fits: Tailoring professional development

Bridging the gap: How screen readers allow equal access to technology for those who are blind or visually impaired at 2024 Annual Conference

Campus constituents often avoid professional development related to accessibility often because they don’t see the opportunities as relevant or they find the work or technical components to be overwhelming. This session will outline a campus-wide Title II professional development strategy that is tailored by different content types—email, documents, presentations, multimedia, forms, webpages, etc.—so that content creators can see themselves in this work. This strategy focuses on meeting people where they are at in order to model the inclusive practices we want them to adopt.
