The Power of Digital Accessibility to Build Bridges and Open Doors in Higher Ed

Due to licensing restrictions, this keynote video was only available through April 11, 2024.

Welcome address from the Accessibility Summit Chair Lindsey Sneed followed by the keynote by Lainey Feingold.

Campus digital accessibility professionals build bridges every day between campus technology and digital content on one side and disabled students faculty, and staff on the other.  If you are one of those bridge builders, you do a lot more too: you protect civil rights, open the door to inclusion, and protect privacy. You are integral to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and you create environments of welcoming and belonging.

Our keynote speaker, Lainey Feingold, has been in the digital accessibility space for more than a quarter of a century.  She’ll share the tremendous changes she’s seen, along with best practices to leverage digital accessibility for campus-wide collaborations and disability inclusion.  And as a disability rights lawyer she’ll give us a peek into what’s happening in the legal space.

Come learn how to talk about the law as an opportunity for campus inclusion (and not a burdensome checklist).
