In the open-source community, you’ll often hear the phrase “free as in speech” not “free as in beer.” In this presentation, we explore the idea that open-source software (OSS) is free as in beer, when you are tasked with the complexities and expense of brewing it yourself. Attendees can expect to learn about multiple facets of planning for, implementing and maintaining an OSS product, along with prospective challenges and opportunities in doing so.
