Description
Last year, as part of the Harvard University homepage redesign project, the content strategy team at Harvard University Public Affairs and Communications set out to be an example of accessibility in action. This year, we decided to make our focus on accessibility even more explicit, by making it a part of our content strategy and not just a commitment to technical aspects. Utilizing our In Focus series, which explores the how the university’s research and scholarly work intersects with different communities, we transformed the homepage from January 14 to February 1, 2022 into a showcase of Harvard’s progress in digital and physical accessibility. Using “Behind the Design” callouts, we brought the major technical accessibility lessons that we learned to a broad audience. Read the feature.
